We offer Lead Screening at our office! Call 315-786-3730 to make an appointment.
Lead poisoning is entirely preventable. The key is stopping children from coming into contact with lead and treating children who have been poisoned by lead. The goal is to prevent lead exposure to children before they are harmed. There are many ways parents can reduce a child’s exposure to lead. Lead hazards in a child’s environment must be identified & controlled or removed safely. For more information on sources of lead click here.
Did you know that diets rich in calcium, iron, and vitamin C can help protect children from lead poisoning? The Nutrition Program at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County (CCE) can help families learn about healthy ways to ensure they are getting enough of these important nutrients. Contact CCE at 315-788-8450 or click here to visit their website.
