Election Day Workers
Jefferson County is looking for registered voters in the Democratic and Republican party to serve as paid inspectors on election days.
We will pay you $30 to be trained, $125 for any primary you work and $200 if you work in the general election. There are also other ways to earn additional payments.
Poll workers prepare the polling place for voting, set up equipment, process voters, demonstrate voting procedures, assist in filling out ballots when requested by a disabled voter, close the polling place and canvass and report the results.
You can expect to work about 10 hours on primary days and 14 hours on general election days.
We are committed to fulfilling our responsibility to the citizens of New York State by providing fair and accurate elections. This responsibility and the credit associated with it must be shared with the many dedicated workers that help make elections successful. You can get involved and become a proud participant in a process that is the foundation of democracy in our county.
